I'm sure you are not surprised to hear that I love children's books. Picture Books, Chapter Books, Middle Grade, Young Adult and Graphic novels.
Relaxing means browsing bookshops, and I buy books from independents as well as Amazon, Wordery and second hand places. I love our local library and check out lots of books regularly too (at least I did before COVID!)
I set up a shop page on Boookshop.org so feel free browse through my favourite titles. Hopefully it will inspire you on what to get next...

I buy lots of books, whether is for Christmas, birthdays, or just beacuse of a great review. Here are some of the ones that found their way to us over the last couple of years.
I love older middle grade books, but it can be a tricky category, because it really depends what you think your child can cope with, and what their reading taste is. Books here are suited for 11+, pre-teens who don't mind being a little scared. Some have a little swearing and The Cheerleders might be best suited for 13+ .
Just be mindful of each story and what you feel is suitable for your own child.
I won't pretend to be an expert in this category, but I have always been a fan of YA books. Here are the titles I recommend.
